About Jupiter Hammon Project

The Jupiter Hammon Project is a long-term initiative to expand interpretive programming at the 18th century Joseph Lloyd Manor to encourage more rigorous and relevant encounters with one of the first published African American writers, Jupiter Hammon (1711-- c.1806), and the legacy of enslavement on Long Island.
