Join traditional woodworker Rick Liegl, who specializes in first period furniture, for a special interactive craft experience. Participants will watch a live woodworking demonstration and learn about making furniture using the same methods practiced by Long Island craftspeople in the 17th and 18th centuries. They will also have the opportunity to try out traditional tools and techniques. Rick will bring some of his hand-crafted pieces to showcase as well. All attendees will have the opportunity to view our current exhibition Wood and Water: Furniture on Long Island, 1660-1860.
