Join Preservation Long Island and the East Hampton Historical Society for a tour of the Dominy house and workshops and the Hook Windmill led by preservationist Bob Hefner. This special tour will take visitors through the 18th-century woodworking shops of Long Island’s most celebrated craftsmen, highlight authentic Dominy pieces in the East Hampton Historical Society’s collection, and share details about the site’s recent restoration. After touring the Dominy Shops, we’ll walk to the Hook Windmill, which was built by Nathaniel Dominy V in 1806.
